Gigya August 2013 Product Release
We’re excited to announce our newest batch of updates, which includes new commenting and gamification features, and gives Platform administrators more control over their moderator settings.
New features include:
- New Platform Roles and Permissions
- Redesigned Comments
- Gamification Questing
- Instagram and GetGlue Support
- NuCaptcha Verification for Email Sharing
Gigya Platform: Roles and Permissions Offer More Security and Customization
Gigya Platform administrators can now restrict user access more granularly, such as by limiting the sections of the Gigya Platform that users have access to, the domains within the account for which users can view reports or change settings, and whether users have access to end user PII. This gives administrators more control and provides heightened levels of security options depending on your business's unique needs.
Comments: Redesigned for Richer User ExperiencesWe've rolled out a new, more user-friendly comments interface so your business can offer more customized commenting experiences for your users. Now, users can add rich text (e.g. bold, italics, underline) to comments, share individual comments, leave reviews on particular aspects of products (e.g. price, quality, etc.), and sort commenting streams so they can view comments in the order of their choice.
Gamification: Quests for Action-Based Incentives
Tailor your website's gamification experience by allowing user advancement based on specific actions users are taking, called "quests", rather than for simply hitting a point threshold.
Quests make incentivization more customizable so your business can get the most return from your gamification implementation. For instance, you can now require a user to purchase and share an item before they level up instead of simply sharing 15 times to meet the same point criteria.
New Social Providers: Instagram Joins Gigya's List of Login Providers and GetGlue is Added to the Share Bar
Your retro photography-loving (and video posting) users can now log in socially using their existing Instagram accounts. Contact your Client Services Manager to add Instagram as a login option on your site or app.
GetGlue, a social network that caters to fans of TV Shows, Movies, and Sports, is now available as a share destination via Gigya’s Share Bar. Contact your Client Services Manager to add GetGlue sharing to your site or app.
Sharing: Reduce Email Spam with NuCaptcha Verification
We've partnered with security firm NuData Security to offer behavior based, video-captcha technology that makes it easier on humans but harder for bots and hackers to decipher. NuCaptcha verification technology, which is optional for Gigya customers, can now be integrated with the share to email option for heightened security to protect your business against spambots. NuData was included in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Web Fraud Detection for it's behavior analytics driven solutions..
Thanks for choosing Gigya - we look forward to hearing from you!
